Joint Letter from the Superintendents of Hamilton County
Jeffrey Riel

Superintendents and treasurers from every Hamilton County school district — including Winton Woods — have released a joint statement about proposed state property tax reforms currently being discussed in Ohio.

This is the first time all of Hamilton County’s education leaders have come together to speak collectively on this issue. In their statement, they share concerns that certain proposals to reduce or eliminate property taxes could have a serious impact on the funding that supports our schools and other vital community services — such as police, fire, and parks.

For Winton Woods, local property taxes help fund the teachers, programs, and resources that make a direct difference in our students’ daily learning experiences — from classroom instruction and transportation to the extracurricular and enrichment opportunities that define The Warrior Way.

We certainly agree that there is a need for balanced, thoughtful reform that provides real tax relief. However, this needs to be implemented without dismantling the funding that supports schools, emergency services, and community programs families depend on. Significant changes to this funding structure could limit what we’re able to provide for our students and families.

We encourage our Warrior families to read the attached letter to better understand how these proposals could affect schools and communities like ours.

Mentors Needed for Academy of Global Studies Students
Jeffrey Riel

Winton Woods High School is looking for individuals to serve as incredible mentors to students in the Academy of Global Studies (AGS) for the 2025-26 school year.

Mentors will meet twice a month from 7:00 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. at the North Campus, located at 1231 West Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45240. This is a great opportunity to connect with some outstanding students representing our community and help them develop a growth mindset as they complete their first year of high school.

This year, all mentors will be connecting with students in Grades 9-12 in small group settings to help aid in conversations and activities related to educational, social, and global issues.

Please contact Mr. Josh Amstutz to confirm your participation, and feel free to share this with other professionals that love children.
